Extra 3D Samples...Even though I'm primarily focused on modeling and surfacing, I have at least some experience with almost all parts of the animation pipeline. Here are some samples of class assignments and extra exercises I've done this year, including animation, sculpting (in ZBrush), lighting, and some additional surfacing exercises. DISCLAIMER: I am not responsible for the set in the top two images. These were purely lighting exercises. For each we were tasked with selecting two photo references, one day and one night, and matching the overall color quality of lighting within the provided set.

The third image is my kitchen set. We were working on this project across our lighting, surfacing, and modeling classes. It was really interesting trying to guess and match the dimensions of the photo reference in the modeling stages so the light patterns would fall in the same way in the CG remake.

SculptingAnchor

An exploration of the form of the human hand.

A few exercises from sculpting class this year. The frog is the first sculpt I've ever made in ZBrush.

The bust was a likeness study we worked on for some time, going through the phases of creating an initial sculpt, retopologizing, and creating displacement detail in a final pass. I was referencing Audrey Hepburn.

AnimationAnchor

These are exercises from animation classes. We started off working with the lamp character to practice basic pacing and timing and achieving a sense of weight. We then moved on to practicing bipedal mechanics.

DISCLAIMER: I am not responsible for these models.

This exercise was principally designed around working with a coated carbon fiber. I neither modeled nor created the textures for the squash, we only used the asset to practice baking displacement maps using high and low poly meshes in Mudbox.

These two are just some practice working from reference.

This was an exercise to practice using Mash. The rocks, grasses, and flowers are all instanced across the surface of the sphere with Mash.
